My students need access to a printer for all of the amazing writing and art projects they are creating in class. We need something sturdy that will last and make us shine.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Writing our way to the end of the school year. We spend large chunks of each morning writing. Sometimes in a journal, sometimes letters, sometimes group projects! Students share ideas and create small books or greeting cards. What ever authentic writing we can come up with we do.
We are a very diverse student body.
We serve many low income families and families of all ethnic backgrounds; though largely African American and Hispanic. My group has 5 students with special needs and 3 second language learners. Each of my unique students has been driven and motivated by our writing projects in their own way.
My Project
We will use the printer daily for student projects (both writing and digital art) and for making master copies of work that supports classroom assignments. Students will be able to print from the ipads the school has provided and I will print from the desktop computer I use.
Your donations to this equipment will make our lives so much easier.
We will have materials for student portfolios and for school displays. Additionally, at the end of each school year the students will compile a book of all of their best writing efforts from the school year.
