The students in my classroom are the future leaders of tomorrow. During a typical day, students are challenged to solve real world problems and design authentic projects that will prepare them to be leaders in the professional world. My classroom is a highly interactive and engaging maker space.

The students that we are fortunate enough to teach are highly intelligent, inquisitive and creative individuals. The combination of our school's mission and vision and the students' passion and creativity creates a truly fun and engaging learning atmosphere. Students are guided in building real life social and professional skills such problem solving, collaboration, flexibility, and innovative thinking.
My Project
I have worked very hard this year to turn my classroom into a highly functional maker space. My students are constantly working on projects which require them to spread out and move about as they are working. Traditional seating arrangements are not practical in our classroom as the clunky desks and chairs often get in the way and are rarely used. If you walked into my classroom on a typical day you would see most of the students either standing at tables or spread out on the floor. As such, I want to provide my students with seating options that allow for a greater deal of flexibility and comfort as they are working on their projects. These wobble chairs are easily movable, light weight, and allow students the option to assume a more comfortable seating/standing position in the classroom. They are also ideal for helping wiggly students maintain focus by channeling their movement in a positive way.
This project will greatly improve the quality of my classroom environment by giving the students the comfortable seating that they desire.
These seats also have the added benefit of providing the health benefits of improved posture and core strength. The combined comfort, focus, and health benefits that these chairs will provide will help to ensure that my students never want to leave my classroom.
