The 5th grade students at Oaklawn are curious, brilliant and creative learners!
They take advantage of ever opportunity given to them.
They love to use modern technological tools to explore ideas. Creative projects - especially those done in small groups - are some of their favorite learning experiences. They ask a lot of questions, and I love to guide them toward discovery of answers and solutions. I teach three sections of science, so all 5th graders at our school will have the opportunity to experience the activities we do. I work very hard to make the classroom exciting and surprising every day!
My Project
My students love to try innovative ideas and push the limits of what is possible in a classroom. They have been writing and filming movies to demonstrate their learning in social studies and science - and the addition of this 360° videography tool will open their imaginations to another level! Imagine a conversation around a table between Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton - scripted and filmed in 360° by students. Awesome, right?

This 360° camera will allow for amazing creations - and allow us to capture moments like never before!
This technology will be highly engaging and fun for my students. What's more, capturing events in our classroom or on field trips will become even more experiential and awesome!
