Traditional classroom furniture isn't always the best way to help all kids learn. Kindergarteners are full of energy, imagination, and excitement. Giving students access to wiggle stools in the classroom will help us create an engaging learning environment that meets the needs of all of our students.
We have 24 kindergartners from various backgrounds who are full of energy, imagination, and excitement for learning.
Our kindergartners vary in abilities, skills, learning styles, and learning needs. Our school is a K-8 school with a rigorous program focused on educating the whole student. We are proud of our historically high test scores and that the majority of our students continue on to colleges and universities. Classes at our school are taught by excellent teachers who create an environment that encourages students to excel.
My Project
Sitting in a chair the majority of the day isn't an easy task, especially for young, wiggly learners. These safe, stable, ergonomic stools allow children to move while sitting down, which helps many children stay seated and focus more on learning and completing their assignments. These stools also help improve posture and develop trunk control. We will use these stools at our learning table, where the teacher works with small groups of students on guided reading, math, etc. Because these stools are light and portable, they can also easily be moved around the classroom as needed.
These wiggle stools will help create a more positive and engaging learning environment, as they will provide students with safe and comfortable seating that benefits them both physically and mentally.
