My students need to have seating that meets their needs. Not all students are comfortable in regular chairs, many like to have the ability to rock or sway while working.

My Students

"What are we going to do today Mrs. R?" That is the first thing I hear from my students everyday. They are eager to learn, wanting to participate in some type of learning activity.

I teach at a school where we try to engage all students all the time.

For some students that means choice and variety for where to get work done. There are many students in my class that need wiggle time on a regular basis. While we do provide movement breaks throughout the class period optional seating would be helpful.

My Project

I am asking for help to purchase alternative seating for my classroom. Like most classrooms we have individual student desks and a work table. Not all students work well sitting in a regular chair. I have many students that like to sit on the floor or even stand. Many of them prefer stools that are a little taller and allow them to wiggle more.

Variety is key in the classroom!

I would like to add stools to my work environment. I enjoy seeing students working in spaces that are comfortable to them. I pride myself on letting students sit where they feel comfortable and can work.
