Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Wide-eyed and eager to learn, my students actively engage and creatively explore their community as they seek to understand the world around them. My students question, think critically and effectively create solutions to real world situations. They are encouraged to approach challenges with the notion that resilience and persistence are required as well as acquired traits.

Scientist, mathematicians, engineers, writers and more, waiting for the opportunity to interact and absorb all the knowledge I am able to direct their way.

The only question they begin their quest with is, "Can we get started now?"

My Project

Sick of all those battery operated robots that just don't hold a charge anymore and you simply can't replace the battery because somebody else built it? Well here is one amazing solution - build your own gear box and add a little solar energy. Need to change it out? Easy, just replace the solar cell or use a lithium battery. You are in control now. It doesn't stop there.

We can build a solid foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at an early age through this DIY kit.

The parts can be easily disassembled after completion of one robot kit. The robots can crawl, roll and float under the direct sunshine which allows children to understand the environmental concept of renewable technologies and renewable resources.
