Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are wonderful! They are so excited to be learning about Family & Consumer Sciences. I want to help them grow and learn by integrating STEAM into my instructional strategies.

My students tell me stories that make me smile and stories that make me cry because they have so much going on in their lives.

I am happy to be their teacher.

My Project

Our Family & Consumer Science Maker Space is expanding to include making from home. These 3D printing resources will make a difference for my students because it will help them make STEM connections to Family & Consumer Sciences and careers.

Students will use the IF/THEN website to complete career investigations for women in STEM, learn the inspiring story of Karina Popovich, 3D design, entrepreneurship, fashion, and the If/Then 3D printed statue will be used as an exhibit to celebrate women in STEM.

They will be learning to create 3D objects, manage resources, problem-solve, and investigate careers.
