Students, and parents are proving to be remarkably resilient during this time when it comes to the effects of the pandemic on school, education, and student learning. It is not easy to teach in a physical classroom one day and turn it into a virtual classroom the next. I love the fact that my students are showing up on time and making an effort to learn. Special needs students are attempting to hand in assignments.
Students are delivering messages to parents if I need to talk to them.
Students continually log back in after being signed of of their wifi. Students are engaging in the lesson regardless of any barriers.
Most of the students here come from low income homes. My students are Special Education student in grades 5-8th. My student have many barriers to learning such as poverty, technology, and heath issues.
By adding color to some of the document that they receive may be helpful in assisting the to do some of the projects. Student will get color packets. By having a color printer the students will get to see a pop of color on their projects. Because students are in a virtual learning space everything that they are seeing is mostly black and white.
I am excited about the opportunity to provide this type of educational technology to aid students in their virtual learning space.
This piece of equipment will be a great addition.
