This school year I will be teaching kindergarten to 24-27 eager and enthusiastic learners. My class varies in level of school readiness and learning styles. My students range from the high achieving to at-risk and special education and everyone in between.
Kindergartners are energetic, creative, and eager to explore.
It is important for them to have access to materials that can help develop their skills such as communicating, problem solving, and creative thinking that will prepare them for their future.
My Project
With these leveled readers my students can become and feel like proficient readers. My students can pick out books they are interested in, books that are just right for them to successfully read on their own or with a partner. They can then talk about the books they are reading to build effective communication skills, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Reading is the foundation for success.
With these leveled books my students will have an ample amount of books to read on their own, the opportunity to grow as readers, as well as to become successful citizens of the world.
