Help me give my students the opportunity to explore microscopic organisms/objects in the science lab using LCD Digital Microscopes! We look at fabrics, pennies, insects, protozoa and more. Seeing things up close peaks their interest and curiosity.
Our students come from varied ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. This fosters a rich, well-rounded collaborative learning experience. When they work together in the science lab, they share ideas, value everyone's contribution, and collaborate to learn together.
Our students are curious explorers.
In science lab, they are always interested in finding out about the world around them. Their curiosity does not end with just finding out, though, they want to find out the reasons why different things happen. When presented with a phenomenon, they eagerly engage on the path to 'figure it out.'
Students' efforts to 'figure it out' become visible on a daily basis as they make observations, develop models, construct explanations, make claims, and support their claims with evidence from their lab explorations. They are definitely in a science internship at each grade level and with each different science topic.
My Project
Our students are curious about the world around them. They are excited to look at, as well as draw living and non-living things using hand lenses. Using LCS microscopes will bring students into the digital age, allowing them to engage with the latest technologies to continue to explore their world.
Providing students with the opportunity to use LCD microscopes will deepen their understanding of the structures of otherwise invisible or not easily seen organisms to help them understand how the organisms use those structures to survive in their habitats.
Students will also be able to look at fine details of other objects and materials to discuss their properties and how those properties make them useful to us in the real world.
