I have 20 amazing 3rd graders with a wide range of levels. Our school is a year round school that serves students in grades Pre k-5th. Teachers are dedicated to providing rigorous academics. As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in the county.

I want my students to feel like they have stepped into an African safari. We are a Global learning school that explore different cultures through our content and curriculum. My students are inquisitive, voracious learners who are craving to discover and learn in a fun and exciting environment.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help my students feel as though they have set out on a Safari to Africa. My school is a Global school, meaning we are teaching our students about different places around the world. Each grade has been assigned a different country. Third grade has Africa. We tie our assigned country into our classroom decor and curriculum.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of global learning, decorate our room to feel like they are in Africa.
Our grade and classroom has been assigned the country of Africa. My students need safari wall stickers, bulletin boards boarders, animal print fabric, African print fabric and animal print duct tape because I want my students to simply have a fun classroom and adhere to our new global learning environment. Each classroom will be exploring the interconnections between people and places around the world. My students will observe the similarities and differences that exist around our world today and relate these to our own lives. I will use the materials to decorate our classroom to reflect African culture. I want them to get a real vision of Africa. They may be encouraged to visit our global country.
