My Students

Next year, I get the opportunity to teach the best and brightest mathematicians at our school. These 6th grade students are going to be the pioneers of the Geometry Track Program. Their mission is to learn basically 3 years of content in 1 year so that they can begin Algebra 1 as 7th graders.

The students who attend our school are active physically and mentally.

I want to give them the opportunity to exercise their right to choose how they learn.

My Project

I currently have 11 of the school chairs with wheels and trapezoid tables. This is a good start to a moving classroom.

I would like to give my students the option to choose how they absorb new concepts without feeling stagnant.

In addition to the wobble chairs, balance balls, and bean bag chairs. I would like to add a couple of standing options for when the students do not feel as though they can sit any longer. In a perfect world, each student would be able to learn in their own individual way. Flexible seating gets students closer to that goal.
