My students need Math Instant Learning Centers and other various math materials to differentiate their skills in various math concepts and reinforce skills already learned.
Imagine a classroom where students are excited, engaged and motivated to learn through interactive technology. A program that embraces a students' learning styles and learning preferences.
I teach 20 to 24 energetic first graders in a classroom where I provide many opportunities for students to learn at their individual level.
In my classroom, students have many opportunities to be in charge of their own learning!
I work at a large elementary school, with a wonderful staff. They are committed to engaging and inspiring students through creative learning experiences. As well as build a safe and collaborative environment for exploration where students are willing to take risks in learning.
My Project
At our school, teachers are committed to meeting every student where they are so that every student can achieve at a high level.
The Instant Learning Centers and Folder Game Library will make a difference in my students' learning because it will allow both myself and them to customize learning to meet their individual needs, skills and interests.
The math activity cards and folder games will allow the students to take ownership of their learning in a fun way while working in their small group learning stations. The activities will help to lay the foundation of math readiness thus be successful in laying the foundation of number sense and basic computation; especially those students where English is their second language.
Students will use the Instant Learning Centers and the Write & Wipe Boards as independent activities, as well as during small groups to gain a better understanding of math concepts, such as place value, fractions, geometry, and time. These centers will allow my students to practice their math skills at a level that is challenging yet rewarding for their future success!
These materials will have a great impact on the learning in my classroom because my students will have an opportunity to engage in a variety math materials that meet the individual learning styles of my students. I hope to challenge my students and provide my students the best opportunities to get the most out of their school day! As a result of having these materials in my classroom, students will be successful, confident and self-motivated lifelong learners!
