Snow Gym Scoreboard Project

My students need the indoor scoreboard for keeping track of time and score during activities in the gym.

My Students

My students are K-5th grade students. I teach over 400 students and my goal is to teach them sport skills and how to play sports. I incorporate a lot of fitness activities and the upper elementary sets goals to improve fitness over the course of the year.

My students are at many different physical levels.

Between games and other fun activities it is great to teach time management and score keeping in class. This also allows for teaching of sportsmanship. Some of the best life lessons are learned on the field and court.

My Project

Having a scoreboard in gym will help students know how to keep score in games and activities. The scoreboard will also allow us to keep track of time during matches. Students love having a last second shot or chance for a buzzer beater. Having a scoreboard would allow for students to enjoy this element of the game.

I have talked to many physical educators and all of them love having a scoreboard.

It brings a level of excitement and structure to the gym. Allowing the students to know the time and score keeps the flow of class going and does not allow for wasted time.
